Buckhorn is located 90 minutes north-east of Toronto and is only 120 minutes west of Ottawa. One of the many fantastic characteristics of Buckhorn is that it is positioned along the southern tip of the beautiful Canadian Shield and is part of the famous Trent Severn waterway. With Buckhorns location being so close to Toronto and Ottawa, and being in the stunning terrain of the Canadian Shield, Buckhorn is a popular choice for both Canadian and America families that are looking for the perfect Ontario get-away.

Buckhorn and the surrounding Kawartha's offer visitors and residents a fantastic year round lifestyle. In the spring, summer and fall months popular activities are waterskiing, competition fishing, hiking, golfing, long distance cycling, hunting, boating, canoeing and kayaking (to just mention a few!). In the winter months our area offers excellent snowmobilingice fishing, Alpine and Nordic skiing and snowshoeing.

It doesn't matter if your reason for visiting us is for a wedding, to invest in a northern family cottage, to permanently relocate or just go to an all-inclusive resort for a weekend getaway, Buckhorn and our surrounding area has what you are looking for. Please take some time to review our website to learn about the town of Buckhorn and the surrounding Kawartha region.
